Mummy Ji's journey is a story of love, wisdom, and dedication to Ayurveda. At the age of 65, her life reflects a deep connection to tradition and a mission to bring healing to society. Her path to creating Ved Sanjeevani was shaped by her childhood, her mother's teachings, and her marriage into a family deeply rooted in Vedic traditions. Encouraged by her mother-in-law, a senior Vedic practitioner, she turned her passion into a purpose.
As a child, Mummy Ji grew up in a small village where her grandmother and mother played a significant role in her upbringing. Her Daadi often used herbal remedies for family ailments, emphasizing the importance of nature. At the age of eight, she experienced a severe case of chickenpox. Instead of chemical treatments, her Daadi prepared a neem and turmeric paste that healed her skin without leaving scars. This moment sparked her curiosity. By the time she was 12, she was assisting her mother and Daadi in preparing remedies and reading ancient Ayurvedic texts. These experiences laid the foundation for her understanding of nature's healing power.
At the age of 16, a drought affected her village,leading to widespread illness. She saw her mother and Daadi tirelessly preparing herbal medicines to help the community. When she asked why more people didn't use these remedies, her mother replied that it was because they lacked awareness. This conversation planted a seed of responsibility in her heart, and she realized that Ayurveda was a gift she could share with the world.
Her passion for Ayurveda deepened after her marriage. Her mother-in-law, a respected Vedic practitioner, became her mentor and inspiration. In her early days as a bride, Mummy Ji often accompanied her mother-in-law to community gatherings, observing her ability to diagnose and treat ailments with natural remedies. Her mother inlaw's encouragement gave her the confidence to pursue her interest in Ayurveda. Together, they spent hours discussing Vedic knowledge, experimenting with formulations, and thinking of ways to modernize ancient wisdom for the benefit of society.
Motherhood brought its own challenges, which further fueled her resolve. When her second child suffered from severe colic, conventional treatments failed. Remembering her mother and mother-in-law's advice, she prepared a warm hing and castor oil blend that provided immediate relief. This experience inspired her to create Ved Sanjeevani Nabhi Oil. Similarly, her struggles with postpartum hair loss led her to develop a nourishing hair oil with bhringraj, amla, and hibiscus—an early version of Ved Sanjeevani Hair Oil. These personal experiences became the foundation of her mission to share remedies with families everywhere.
In her 40s, Mummy Ji and her mother-in-law witnessed the passing of a local herbalist, whose invaluable knowledge was lost forever. This event motivated them to document and preserve their remedies. Her mother-in-law encouraged her to share this knowledge with society. This conversation became the catalyst for Ved Sanjeevani. With her mother-in-law's support, she formalized her formulations, ensuring they remained rooted in tradition while being accessible to modern families.
Today, Mummy Ji's work is a tribute to the women who nurtured her—her Daadi, her mother, and her mother-in-law. Their wisdom lives on in every product of Ved Sanjeevani. Reflecting on her journey, she often says that healing is not just about remedies but about caring for the soul. Through Ved Sanjeevani, she continues to share her family's legacy with the world, ensuring that the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda heals and inspires future generations.
Her vision for the future is carried forward by her sons, Chirag and Siddhant, who wholeheartedly embrace the values passed down to them. Together, they have transformed Ved Sanjeevani into more than just a brand—it is now a movement aimed at bringing the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda into every home across India.
